The Canadian company Barrick Gold pledged pumping its investments in Egypt after signing gold search contracts in July 2022 to reach a binding agreement for the commercial exploitation of gold reserves discovered in its concession areas, according to statements of a government official to “Al Sharq with Bloomberg.” The Canadian company intends to invest $ 8.8 million in 19 new sectors to search for gold in the Eastern Desert, which it obtained in the first bid for the region, the results of which were announced in 2020, according to the contracts signed with the Mineral Resources Authority.
