The Tax Authority issued new executive instructions No. 122 of 2020 regarding the general tax on dividends, to collect the tax until the end of the third quarter of 2020. The instructions came after the change in the tax treatment of dividend distributions in the recent amendments to the law, which stipulated that the tax rate on dividends is stipulated On it in Article (46 bis), verified by a source in Egypt during the year that a natural resident obtains 10% without deducting any costs, and this price is reduced to 5% if the securities are listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
