A parliamentary official in the Agriculture and Irrigation Committee of the Egyptian Parliament said that the government has allocated 600 million pounds to complete the project to improve the productivity of sugar cane and sugar crops, at the Sugar Crops Research Institute, with the aim of increasing productivity by 15 to 20 percent.
