The volume of assets of the Arab banking sector at the end of 2022 amounted to about 4.1 trillion US dollars, representing 126 percent of the gross domestic product of all Arab countries.

The volume of assets, credit facilities and deposits in the banking sector increased at the end of 2022 by 2.8 percent, 7.7 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively, according to the sixth report on financial stability in the Arab countries issued by the Arab Monetary Fund.
