Agence France-Presse said that bankruptcies among American companies rose at the fastest rate since 2010 during the first half of this year 2023.

According to data issued by S&P Global Market Intelligence, the number of US companies that went bankrupt in the period from January to June 2023 exceeded the number recorded during the same period in 2020 when the Corona pandemic weakened the economy amid lockdowns to control the virus.
